North Dakota Game and Fish Offers Shooting Ranges On 5 Wildlife Management Areas

Looking for a place to hone your shooting skills before hunting this fall? Try one of the North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s five public shooting ranges on state wildlife management area lands. Ranges in Bismarck, Mandan, Riverdale and Williston are located on lands along the Missouri River owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, said Marty Egeland, education section supervisor for Game and Fish in Bismarck.

A fifth shooting range near Wilton, North Dakota, is on some land the department manages, he said, and a sixth range in the works near Hankinson in the southeast part of the state could be online as early as next year. Learn more in this week’s “North Dakota Outdoors” webcast.
