Linton Man Injured in Crash Faces DUI Charge

BISMARCK — A 27-year-old Linton man faces a DUI charge in connection with a crash that happened on Friday, Dec. 1, near Strasburg, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

According to the Highway Patrol:

Scotti Scherr, 27, of Linton, was injured in the crash that happened about 9:30 p.m. Friday on 89th Street Southeast, just west of Second Avenue Southeast, west of Strasburg.

Scherr, who was not wearing a seat belt, lost control of the pickup he was driving and entered the north ditch, striking two box culverts and numerous fence posts.

He suffered serious injuries and was transported via air ambulance to a hospital in Bismarck.

The Highway Patrol said on Sunday that Scherr faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol/care required.
