TCNJ Women’s Lacrosse star Anna Devlin was named the USA Lacrosse Division III Women’s Player of the Week, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Having been selected to the All-NJAC First Team and twice picked as the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week for her superb play throughout the 2023 season, the Lions senior tacked on yet another honor after leading the Lions to their 12th-consecutive Conference title last week in the NJAC Tournament.
In TCNJ’s two dominant playoff games against Kean and Rowan, Devlin totaled four goals, two assists, 20 draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnovers in what was yet another dynamic showing from the star attacker. In the NJAC title game on Saturday, Devlin scored three goals and secured 12 draw controls as the No. 6 Lions cruised past the Profs.
With a team-high 119 draw controls on the year, Devlin’s superb season has also seen her become the newest Lions record holder in the stat, having broken the school record during last month’s Senior Day against Kean.
The Players of the Week recognitions are selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors based on a variety of factors, including individual performance and impact on team success.
