North Dakota State is a Clear FCS Leader Across 2023 NFL Rosters

North Dakota State has become the undisputed leader among FCS programs in sending players on to the NFL.

The nine-time national champion since the 2011 season had 12 players on NFL rosters following the 53-man cutdown and the first round of waiver claims this week.

South Dakota State, the reigning FCS champion after defeating NDSU in the 2022 championship game, had the second-highest total among subdivision programs with five former players on NFL rosters.

Players designated as injured reserve or physically unable to perform are included in the roster totals. Overall totals can increase for FCS programs this week as NFL teams finalize their practice squads.
